TIM GARRETT ELECTED
VICE CHAIRMAN of GEORGIA EMC BOARD

Wrens, Ga. - uring its board meeting on November 14, Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (GEMC) elected Tim Garrett vice-chairman of the 2007 board of directors.
Vice-chairman Garrett is a farm owner in Swainsboro, Ga., where he grows cotton, peanuts, corn and soybeans.
He has served 22 years on the board of directors of Jefferson Energy Cooperative, and has been a member of the Georgia EMC board for 12 years.
Garrett attended Swainsboro High School, East Georgia College, and graduated from Georgia Southern University where he earned a bachelor’s of business administration in accounting.
His community contributions include serving on the board of directors of the Emanuel County Farm Bureau. He is currently a deacon at Oak Chapel Baptist Church.
